    Hey, thanks for the effort. Unfortunately this doesn’t solve the problem for me.  It is amazing that switching to Google Apps for Business cripples so many other Google products and services!

    Dude, you’re a life saver. I couldnt get Chrome to sync and it was all because it was not ON. Nowhere does Google mention that it has to be on in their support documentation. Thanks dude.

    Well, I tried and it was already on.  Which stinks, because I thought I was really on to something with your help.  The error I see, and apparently not just me, is “The sync server is busy.  Please try again later.”  This has been going on for a year or so.  Oh well.

      I’ve never seen the sync server busy status. That one is something you should contact Google Support about.

        Sorry–I posted more for adding to the Grand Internet Narrative regarding this issue, rather than expecting specific help.  Google has been studiously avoiding the issue for about a year (just websearch for “the sync server is busy” and see what I mean).  Thanks, though!
