I had a conversation on Twitter today with David Siegfried about clothes becoming bagging because of weight loss. He said that he had to semi-retire his favorite pair of jeans because they have become too baggy. He’s been working on losing weight for the last seven months on losing weight. Bill Roehl also piped in about creating more holes in the belt. It’s what he did when he lost a lot of weight. So it was a good to see some people I follow on Twitter talking about their clothing issues with weight loss (even better that it was guys talking about it).
In the following picture I’m wearing a pair of shorts that Megan has pretty much said I shouldn’t wear anymore. I’ve got a few other pairs of shorts that I can wear, but even now those are getting baggy since they were bought around the beginning of June as well. The 3x shirts that I’ve become accustomed to buying for the last several years are starting to feel a bit more loose, but I’m not brave enough to break into my 2x shirt pile.
I have been buying 3x shirts since about 2007 since the 2x shirts always end up with me baring my belly to the world. It started by my belly sneaking out when I’d raise my arms to do something but it soon ended up  with my belly always showing. If I was into the whole bare midriff style (but I’m a guy and that’s not hot) I’d probably have been fine with it, but my hairy belly should only be seen on poolsides, beaches, and by me in the mirror.
It’s coming off, at some point the bulge above the belt line will be reduced. Hopefully that’s soon. I already can feel my clothes fitting just a little bit better.
