I really enjoy stand-up comedy. I’ll even watch the low rated ones to at least give them a shot because most times I enjoy watching something that other people don’t.

The problem that I’m having are the 5-30 (yes 30) minute introductions to these movies where the comedian is shown in their home/car/dressing room before the show talking about whatever it is they deem necessary to communicate to the viewer.

I hate these introductions. More times than not I’ll back out of the Netflix instant movie completely or I’ll fast forward past all the non-sense.

I understand that they are trying to be more personal and show the audience who they are off the stage, but can’t you condense it? I didn’t decide to watch to see you showing off your awesome pool table or your crib. I want to see you on stage doing what got you the movie in the first place.

Make me laugh. If I wanted to see your house or car I’d Google you.
