in Weight Loss

I had some client work last night to do and didn’t end up doing anything as far as workout goes. On top of that I ate too much pizza for lunch yesterday and had a healthy (yet hearty) dinner. On top of that Megan and I decided to watch a movie, had some popcorn, and I drank too much wine. That all ended up with me weighing in this morning at 353.6 lbs which is 1.5 lbs more than I weighed in at yesterday and .3 lbs above my goal weight for this morning.

I’m fine with it. I have an appointment with a trainer at LA Fitness tonight and it should give me some more insight into what kind, lengths, and frequency I should be doing all of this in.

I need to be more careful with what I’m eating. I knew what the pizza would do to me (not just weight wise, but because of the grease) yet I still ate it because it was there and free. Today’s going to be a much better lunch with a garden salad topped with spring peas, radishes, croûtons, and some grilled chicken breast. I’m pairing a light Italian dressing with it, but the salad is huge and should get me by until dinner tonight.

I’m adding an updated picture to the right sidebar everyday. However, I’ll post it here as well. The link behind it takes you to the spreadsheet I’ve been keeping with my weight, food, and workouts. I’m being blatantly public with this info because I know some of you out there are trying to do the same for yourself.

Dez's Weight Chart

In my own experiences, I’ve been better off weighing myself weekly instead of daily. It’s going to fluctuate like that no matter what you eat or do and it can be discouraging, particularly if you’re doing the right things and it still fluctuates upward.

I knew that coming into this that it would be better to weigh myself weekly from a “feeling good about it” standpoint. I decided to ignore my own advice and do it daily to give myself more data points though. I won’t normally do an update because I gained weight, but I knew that yesterday’s decisions were pretty much all to blame for the gain I saw this morning. But at this point it’s still a data game as well as a goal.

I’d call this pretty much right on target. Good work. Keep it up.
