With the addition of Twitter trending topics and the combination of the number of international people using twitter the ability to see what has been trending lately has only been available with applications that support it. However tonight Twitter added the ability for users to see the trending topics of specific locales or countries.
When I logged in tonight I saw:
When you click on “Set your location” you’ll get:
They don’t have Minneapolis yet, but being able to focus on specific areas of the world is HUGE. No doubt this has a lot to do with the ability to geolocate your tweets. Â Awesome change!
