I stayed at Megan’s last night so I didn’t get to eat my normal bowl of cereal for breakfast. I ended up stopping at McDonald’s on the way to work figuring that I could get in on the new Dollar Breakfast Menu. Sounds like a great deal since I knew that one of my favorite items (Sausage McMuffin was on the menu). When I ordered it the cashier brought up the price for a regular Sausage and Egg McMuffin. The price was 2.24. If you want cheese on it add an additional 30 cents. So I got her to change my order to a Sausage McMuffin and lo and behold I discovered that not only are they massively overcharging for eggs, but they are saying the egg is worth more than the muffin and the sausage combined.
I’m just glad that I normally eat my shredded wheat at home. Also, if McDonald’s wants to be considered a valid stop for coffee, maybe they should think about not making it taste like the bottom of a burnt pot.
