Want to know what’s annoying?
Hopefully Twitter will have this kind of stuff under control at some point. Heck, they just got $55M in funding today, so they should be able to spend a bit on getting someone on this kind of stupidity. Heck, even an intern to sit and watch trending topics all day and picking out spammers to suspend. I know of at least a few people who would love nothing better than to sit in front of a console and select “Spam” on a number of accounts.
Until that point the trending topics are nice, but only for really big news stories… like Nick of the Jonas Brothers birthday today. There doesn’t seem to be as much spam in there, but there are a bunch of younger people (mostly girls) saying happy birthday. Wow, just a few weeks ago it was Gmail’s turn to be at the top for being down, and now it’s a birthday greeting.
