This video has been making the rounds on Twitter and Facebook the last few days. It is an absolutely sobering view of what could happen if you aren’t paying attention to the road. Being that I live in Minnesota, we now have a law against texting while driving, but that still doesn’t stop a lot of people from doing it. I’ve heard from a lot of friends either way on this issue. Some claim that they are so good at texting while driving that they don’t have to look at their phone, but the question remains of how to read received texts without peering away from the road.
I will admit that I used to text and drive at the same time thinking that I needed to read and reply right away. I’ve stopped this practice. It actually is rather difficult to stop if you’ve been doing it for a while. My suggestion: Put your phone on silent and in your pocket, it will break the habit faster. I could go on, but the video says enough for itself.
This video contains graphic content and isn’t recommended for anyone under the age of 18. However, as someone pointed out, if viewers under the age of 18 don’t watch it, they may not see that day.
