As some of you may have seen, I tweeted about getting a print called “You Sunk My Battleship”. The image is an homage to the game Battleship (product page). Growing up, battleship was one of my favorite games, I just haven’t played it for a while. After I bought the print I thought it might be a good idea to do something fun to compliment it. Megan brought up that I should do a shadow box using pieces from the game, so I found the game on Craigslist and bought it for $5. When I had contacted the woman selling it, I had no idea it was an original box. So, for now I’m not going to be doing anything for the image as it was made quite clear that it would be a geek sin to cannibalize the game (yeah, I know I spelled it wrong in the pic, I was doing it from my phone).
I went to Michaels yesterday and bought a nice frame for it and hung it tonight. On the sides are some art nouveau that Megan had given me a few months back after moving into my new apartment. Here’s the pic.
