My 3-year old cat, Ana(stasia) has decided that she now needs to start coughing up hairballs. This is a complete 180 from the previous 3 years. She doesn’t really shed, and she is extremely clean. I’ve been using some hairball control gel for a couple weeks now and it works great, when I remember to give it to her. But as expected, as soon as I forget to give it to her, the next day there’s a nice carpet gift left for me. Luckily with her it’s usually just hair.

The point: I decided to stop buying the not-quite-so-cheap-that-I’d-feel-mean food and go with the (english accent) dinner-is-served food. I just switched tonight (and yes, I mixed some old with the new), so we’ll see if it helps. However this new food is about 3x the amount of my other stuff. I was paying $13.00 for 13 lbs and now I just paid $35 for 13 lbs. However, I figured that this cat is like my kid (yeah, I went there). She deserves to eat well. I do have to say, the stuff smells good (for cat food).

I need to believe that the difference in price is for a good reason (like switching from salsbury steak to sirloin), but this stuff better work. Oh yeah, not only is she worth it because she’s a cool-ass friendly to everyone cat, but she plays fetch.
