I’m sure that I’m not the first to notice this, but the web media (almost as a whole) has become a fanboy when it comes to social media apps.  Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.. etc…  What happened to writing about things that make news (personal blogs excluded)?  OK, don’t take me for a complete ignoramous, I know darn well it’s because they want to make money, and people have generally wanted to read all about the benefits of the advances being made in social collaboration, interaction, and communication.  However, none of it is new anymore.  The biggest online blogs end up being a duplicate story.  So I’ve pretty much been trying to find new subscriptions that go straight to the source.  It’s somewhat humorous for me to read the original story, then see the write-up by 4 different sources (At least in my subscription list, I’m sure there’s more).  The web periodicals are starting to remind me of the multiple news from television. If you watch local news, all your local stations will cover the same main stories and leav a tiny bit of time for something original.  If you watch the national news networks, they will be talking about pretty much the same stories in the words of different experts.

Anyways.  The point of all of this. You all understand that the state of online communication, etc… is changing the way that humans interact with the world and people on it.  It’s only been a few years since it was expected for a company to have a website.  And even less time since an individual was expected to have a Facebook or Myspace profile or they were either considered behind the times or a rebel.  I’m going to stop writing about the social media stuff that I’ve been writing about.  I don’t want to be that clone.

I’m much more well-rounded than that (in my own head).  Yes, I use these applications, but the people that I interact with on them understand them as much or more than I do anyways, so writing about it just seems pointless.

The topics that I’ve undercovered that I like to write about are: Music Instruction, Software Testing, Movies, and Personal life happenings.

Anyways. Have a great night.
