So I’ve relentlessly blogged/tweeted/talked about my snafu with T-Mobile and internet short-codes.  I finally got sick of it today after speaking again with a CS rep regarding my flex-account balance and decided to talk to a supervisor.  She and I talked at length regarding my issue which involved going through my service records to find that I *SHOCK* did actually stop sending short-code SMS messages out from my phone.

Here are the details:

Sometime in February, TMobile had a code change that made their system look at short-codes different from regular 10-digit SMS within their billing structure. What they forgot to do was make sure that short-code messages were also unlimited in unlimited accounts. Basically my account was being charged for a text message because their system wasn’t taking into account that I don’t have a limit and therefore the system shows that I have (0) left.
