I saw the new omni-theater presentation of “Grand Canyon Adventure” at the Science Museum of Minnesota today. It was an extremely breathtaking viewpoint of the Colorado river, specifically the area in/around the Grand Canyon in relation to the water conservation and saving of the river due to a drought that seems to be headed into the longer-term. The cinematography was amazing (which is what I always think of an omni presentation), and the story was well told and tied into someone doing work on the river and their story. However I was a bit annoyed with the continuation of the water preservation ideas at the end. They showed a short video promoting a website to find out how to preserve water more effectively in your own home. I liked that, but then they kept showing videos of examples. Either way, it didn’t take away from the experience that I always walk away with.
